Get To Know Nicole

As a former school counselor and teacher, I know that time is limited for both you and your stakeholders. So, when we work together, I'll leverage my expertise in copywriting, marketing, and SEO strategy. I'll also draw on my teaching and school counseling experience to create content that addresses the needs, objections, and goals of your specific clients and stakeholders. So you’ll become the clear choice to address the specific challenge they’re facing.

And, because it’s less costly to retain a client than to go out and obtain a new one, I’ll focus my efforts on helping you create lasting client connections so your relationship with each new client is based on them trusting you as a go-to resource for the long-haul.

Here’s why I’m so passionate about helping my clients.

The Mission:

To help tech and education companies grow their online visibility and deepen client relationships with long-form copy and SEO content strategy. Simply put, we are here to help our clients reach more of theirs, so they can make their mark on the industry, grow, thrive, and stay stellar.

My Work:

My work supports mental health and ed-tech companies that want to grow so that their products and services can reach more of those who need them most.

I lean into my decade-long experience as a teacher and school counselor to craft thoroughly researched, long-form, SEO-driven, and client-centered case studies, white papers, website copy, and blogs. Together, we’ll reach more of your future favorite clients and help them make the decisions that matter most.

What Matters Most to Me

Education:  At the heart of my work is a desire to make learning accessible for more people in meaningful ways. From neurodivergent learners accessing new technology designed just for them to children engaging with social-emotional learning to foster better mental health to adults reskilling to get their dream job in our ever-evolving workforce, we want education to be a lifelong adventure so that everyone has a chance to stay stellar.

Empathy: Understanding the stories and experiences of others connects us. It’s how we come to trust one another and helps us make decisions. Empathy is a cornerstone of my work because it ensures that we fully understand my clients, their businesses, and their vision.

Impact: I put my expertise and passion into action so that my clients' missions can be driven forward by the work I do each day. We don’t do work for the sake of work. I am efficient, purposeful, kind, creative, thorough, and here for my clients because that’s what’s needed to make an impact.

And I’d be grateful for you to be one of those clients!

I’m a former school counselor with over a decade of experience in teaching and counseling. I’ve been writing since I could hold a pen, drafting blogs, website copy, and other assets for the schools and nonprofits I worked with along the way.

A Passion For Accessibility At The Intersection Of Education and Mental Health

As someone with my own health and ability challenges who benefited from physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as other learning supports growing up, I welcome any chance I get to work with companies that make learning accessible to more people.

In the early years of elementary school, l was diagnosed with scoliosis and braced until middle school. During that time, I also received occupational therapy and physical therapy for dyspraxia and dysgraphia, as well as speech therapy. By middle school, my spinal curvature had only worsened, and I required a series of surgeries to make corrections. I learned to walk again after each surgery and spent an entire summer lying on the couch, including extensive hospital stays during the school year.

An Undeniable Love For Writing and Learning

Writing, though rendered difficult and at times painful because of my dysgraphia, was my only accessible outlet. I fell in love with learning, reading, research, and writing. And I was fortunate enough to have helpful educators and related professionals who showed me how to lean into those strengths and make use of typewriters and other supportive technologies of the time until computers were more widely accepted and available.

No one was surprised when I decided to study psychology, become an autism support assistant, an English teacher, and finally, a school counselor (leading a department of five other counselors before my departure to launch my own business).

They were also not surprised when I began writing full-time. After all, I’d been writing website and blog copy for nearly every company, non-profit organization, and school I’d worked for since I began working. It was simply a matter of finally making my dream of being a writer a full-time endeavor.

While I may not sit in a school counseling office or stand at the head of a classroom anymore, I know education and mental health are interwoven and that social-emotional learning is vital to our personal and professional growth. So, I work with organizations to share stories through case studies and connect with those who can most benefit from their products and services.

I work with companies who share my desire for a world where more children and adults have access to all types and levels of education (from young children learning to express emotions to neurodivergent teens accessing supportive tech to adults reskilling for an evolving workplace) and where everyone’s unique needs and gifts are recognized in ways that empower them.

Your Copywriter and Colleague

What sets my work apart is that mental health and education content knowledge is not a hurdle for me as it may be for other writers. And that saves a great deal of time, effort, and energy for my clients when it comes to onboarding. It’s also a source of trust and a reminder that my passion goes beyond the project in front of me: It’s more than a job, and the results matter for both of us.

My clients can seamlessly hand off a project brief, knowing that they’ll receive thoroughly researched, deftly written, and passionately crafted copy from someone who is just as familiar with and dedicated to moving their field forward as they are.

My Life Beyond The Keyboard

When I’m not writing copy, you’ll find me reading, drafting poetry, spending time with loved ones, and taking a course in something new because learning will always be a part of my life. I love the peace that I find beside the roaring blue ocean,  sipping warm herbal tea in the hazy light of early mornings, and aspire to be as delighted with life as my dog Galileo.

Behind the Signature “Stay Stellar”

When I first began working for myself, I wanted to sign my emails with something besides the “Sincerely” or “Best Regards” I’d been using for decades in my daily K-12 positions. So, when I started my business and began getting clients I enjoyed working with, I began to write what I truly wished for them: that they stayed their fantastic selves and that they kept their light going.

Naturally, I began signing my emails, “Stay Stellar.” Stellar was a word I’d used since I was young, when blue wallpaper with suns and moons adorned my walls. The name has endured, and the sentiment remains the same. My goal is to help my clients Stay Stellar: to shine their light out into the world as they serve others and to do so without burning out in the process.
